Danielle Aikin founded A Brilliant Nanny in early 2006. She grew up in Reno, Nevada where she worked as a babysitter through high school. From there she went on to Emory University in Atlanta, GA for college. She received a BBA in Marketing and Management at the Goizueta School of Business while continuing to nanny for several families near campus. She brings her passion for working with nannies and families as well as her expertise in household employment to her clients. She lives in SE Portland with her husband, their 10 year old son and rescue dog Jo Jo. Like her clients, she balances work and childcare and the schedule of a busy household. She understands the beauty and challenge of parenthood and recognizes the uniqueness of each remarkable family.

Erin McChurch started working for A Brilliant Nanny in June 2021 as the Recruiting Coordinator, and previously worked for them as a nanny. She is originally from Southern California and moved to Portland in 2015. She has since obtained a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Concordia University and a Masters in Higher Education from the University of Portland, nannying and babysitting for local families throughout her time in school. In her free time, Erin enjoys hiking and running the many trails around Portland, reading, and cooking.
